REGULATION OF DIESEL SURCHARGE FOR INTERNATIONAL ROAD TRANSPORT
HCS changes the regulation of the diesel surcharge for international road transport
Recent increases in energy prices, influenced among other factors by the geopolitical situation and the conflict in the Middle East, have resulted in rising costs across the transport sector.
Diesel fuel is the single largest cost component in road transport. The continued price volatility therefore makes it necessary to adjust the regulation of our diesel surcharge so that it more closely reflects market developments.
New regulation model
From Monday, 9 March 2026, HCS will regulate the diesel surcharge weekly instead of monthly.
The surcharge will be adjusted every Monday based on the average diesel price during the previous week.
This change is due to market conditions beyond our control and is necessary to ensure continued stable transport capacity and high delivery reliability for our customers.
